CyberCenturion Round 3 POSTPONED from 26-27 February to 12-13 March 2021

We want to wait until students have been able to return to schools to make sure all teams relying on school resources to compete can take part in the final qualifying round.

Round 3 will now take place on Friday 12 and Saturday 13 March 2021.

Houston, we're going online

While you’ve been busy teaching online, we’ve been working almost as hard (!) to make it easier to compete in CyberCenturion wherever you may be logging on from.

For Round 3, you’ll have the option to play online through a browser. 

What this means for you:  

  • No more downloading of VMWare, 7Zip, Images, Checksums!  All of this is now completely taken care of by the online platform
  • Students will need to register with their individual email to get access to the platform

Please note: Teams will have the choice to use browser-based access or the usual download – we will send you the URL, download instructions and password as normal prior to the start of Round 3.

An Ubuntu Training image is ready and waiting for you!

Team Leaders – you should have received instructions on how to give your individual students access! Please follow the steps in the email to enable us to invite competitors to test and play with an Ubuntu Training image on the new browser-based platform. Check your spam folder if you can’t see the email in your inbox.

In the meantime, make use of the training resources and lesson plans and don’t forget to tag your team content on social media using #CyberCenturion.
