Masterclass

Our Masterclass is the culmination of the year’s Competition Programme and is the mechanism for identifying the Cyber Security Challenge Champion for the year.

As the Face to Face (F2F) Competitions are played throughout the year, 42 talented individuals are invited to take part in the Masterclass Final. Once you qualify for a place in the Masterclass final you will then forfeit any further F2F Competitions in that year.

Our Masterclass Competition, held in November each year, provides unique opportunities for Contestants to show their skills in a simulated work environment. Contestants are asked to solve the sort of problems cyber security professionals encounter each and every day. They will be required to demonstrate technical, interpersonal and decision making skills. All Masterclass contestants receive prizes from the wide range offered by our Sponsors. There is often a lot of interest by the Press at our events. A new career may not be that far away, just ask our 2011 Champion Dan Summers, originally a postman but who now works for the IT Security Division of the Royal Mail Group just by shining through at the 1st Cyber Security Challenge UK Masterclass.
