Debbie Tunstall

Head of Education Programmes and Team Leader for European Cyber Security Challenge

Debbie implemented a new programme of activity for UK universities for the Challenge, which included technical and non-technical camps as well as Capture the Flag Events and careers activity. She also oversaw critical developments of other education initiatives within the organisation, which led to her becoming Head of Education programmes.

She is also the team leader for Team UK in the European Cyber Security Challenge (ECSC) and, for 2018, head of the ECSC steering committee as the UK plays host to the competition.

Debbie has a background in education. She is a qualified teacher, and has taught in Sixth Forms and Schools throughout Worcestershire. She also worked as a coursework moderator and examinations marker for 10 years in business and economics. She has extensive experience of bringing business and education together, having held roles within the Education Business Partnership, Heart of England Fine Foods as well as Cyber Project Lead within STEMnet at the University of Worcester. Debbie has a strong commercial background, having worked in both corporate marketing positions and advisory roles for SME’s.

Debbie is a STEM ambassador and in her spare time enjoys motorsport, travelling and plays and umpires in a netball team.
